USNA Commissioning Week Information
Congratulations to the Firsties and their parents!
The Alumni Association partners locally with Naval Academy Parent Club of Maryland for the Commissioning 101 booklet and presentation, which includes excellent resources and up to date information for Commissioning Week. The parent perspective is provided as one version of their families personal perspective and expectations for commissioning and graduation.
Commissioning Week honors the First Class Midshipmen upon completion of four years at Naval Academy. Parents, family members and guests are invited to attend a series of events at the Naval Academy in honor of the graduates including the Blue Angels Flight Demonstration, Color Parade, special awards ceremonies, and musical performances. All information and briefs from the 2020 Commissioning 101 event are posted online on the Alumni Association website. Materials include a video of the presentation held in Annapolis, the Commissioning 101 PowerPoint brief slides, and the COMM 101 resource book.
